Community empowerment
is related to the improvement of communication and cooperation between minority group representatives and local authorities, to support a more dynamic interaction and better understanding. Training, workshops and activities are developed to provide opportunities for community leaders to improve their ability to dialogue with officials at different levels, representing their community, and for the promotion of greater awareness of the minority populations needs.
Handicraft production
aims to involve 250 artisan women of Hmong and Dao Communities in Ta Phin and San Sa Ho in activities to revive and strengthen their traditional handicraft production in two ways: through organization of technical training to improve the quality, design and standards of their handicraft, and through the involvement of ethnic minority artisans. These activities will represent the opportunity for artisans to have improved access to international fair trade markets.
Cultural heritage promotion
aims to enhance involvement of Hmong and Dao ethnic communities into national and international networks in order to support the promotion of their culture and traditions, in particular their handicraft. Activities including meetings to exchange experiences among artisans, conferences, publications and exhibitions, supporting the development of new contacts at different levels, and the strengthening of awareness about ethnic minorities unique culture and values.
